What you’ll receive
By opting in, you agree to receive automated text messages (“SMS”) from Cards From You. The messages are transactional and tied to greeting cards you’ve scheduled with us, including:
- Reminders that an upcoming card needs a personal message
- Reminders that a scheduled card’s send date is approaching
- Confirmations that your card has been mailed or delivered
- Replies asking for the message you’d like written on a card
Message frequency
Approximately 2–4 messages per month per account. Frequency depends on the cards you have scheduled and how many of them require a personal message before sending. We never send marketing texts under this program.
How to opt in
You can opt in by:
- Checking the SMS consent box during signup at cardsfromyou.com/auth/signup (the box is unchecked by default).
- Toggling SMS notifications on in your account at cardsfromyou.com/dashboard/settings.
- Replying START or YES to any text from us.
We log every opt-in event with a timestamp. We do not buy or rent phone numbers, and we never share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
How to opt out
Reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message at any time. You will receive a single confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed and you’ll stop receiving texts. You can also turn off SMS in your account settings.
To re-subscribe later, reply START or re-enable SMS in your settings.

Costs & carriers
Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. Cards From You does not charge a fee for SMS reminders. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and most other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility
The SMS program is available only to U.S. residents 18 years or older with a valid U.S. mobile number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any card.
Sample messages
- “Hi Sarah! Mom’s Birthday is in 3 days. Pick a card at cardsfromyou.com/reminders. Reply HELP for help. Msg&data rates apply.”
- “Hi Sarah! Your card for Dad’s Anniversary sends in 5 days. What should it say? Just reply to this text! Reply HELP for help. Msg&data rates apply.”
- “Got it! Your card to Mom will say: ‘Happy birthday, wish I was there to celebrate. Love always.’ Reply SEND to confirm or reply with a new message.”
- “Reminder: Your Mom’s Birthday card still needs a message! Just reply with what you’d like it to say. Reply HELP for help. Msg&data rates apply.”
- “Your card to Dad is confirmed and will send on May 15! Visit cardsfromyou.com/dashboard to manage your cards.”
Privacy
Phone numbers and SMS consent are stored on your account and used only to send the messages described above. We share phone data only with our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of message delivery. Changes
We may update these SMS terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by SMS or email before they take effect. The “Last reviewed” date below reflects the most recent revision.
