Account information: When you create an account (via email or Google Sign-In), we collect your name, email address, and profile information. If you sign up with email, your password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
Card and order data: When you send a card, we collect the message you write, the recipient's name, mailing address, email, or phone number depending on the delivery method. We also store your selected handwriting style, delivery preferences, and order history.
Contact list: If you import or manually add contacts (names, addresses, birthdays), this data is stored securely and used only for sending cards on your behalf.
Payment information: Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We rely on a small set of trusted third-party providers to operate our platform, including authentication, payment processing, hosting, card fulfillment, gift card issuance, SMS delivery, and AI-assisted features. Each provider receives only the information necessary to perform its function, and each has its own privacy policy governing how that data is handled.
Recipient names and addresses you supply are shared with our card fulfillment provider so your cards can be printed and mailed. Payment details are handled directly by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
When you purchase a gift card add-on, we share the recipient’s name (and email, if you choose email or both delivery) with our gift card partner Tremendous so they can mint the redemption link. We do not share your payment details, your home address, or any other personal information with Tremendous.
If you opt in, we send you transactional text messages tied to cards you’ve scheduled with us - reminders that a card needs a personal message, prompts asking what to write, and confirmations when a card has been mailed. Approximately 2-4 messages per month per account; we never send marketing texts under this program.
Opt-in: via a checkbox during signup (unchecked by default), via a toggle in account settings, or by replying START/YES to any of our texts. Every opt-in event is timestamped and logged.
Opt-out:reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message; you can also turn off SMS in your account settings. Reply HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.
Data sharing: we share your phone number only with our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of message delivery. We do not share phone numbers or SMS-program data with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not sell mobile-originated data. SMS consent and phone numbers are not shared with any other affiliates or partners.
